The New Do

Amelle got her hair braided for the first time last weekend. We’ve both been loving the fact that I don’t have to “do” her hair. I brought Avery in to Super Cuts for a simple haircut and three hours later Amelle had her newly “deep conditioned” locks in 16 braids cascading down her back. I wish I had a picture of her under the hair dryer looking through a magazine – it was priceless.

I'll tell her - she'll love that. She's all about her Auntie Wendy. Better yet, why don't you get your hair done like that for the next time we visit - she'd really like that! Tee hee...

it looks great!!! i bet you're so happy now that you don't have to comb your way through that mass of curls!! i remember helping you once with that....more power to you! you're probably tempted to have amaya go through life with a crew-cut, huh? :-)

Amelle would look beautiful with a paper bag over her head with cut-outs for her eyes and mouth! However, the long and tedious process of braiding must have been better to Amelle than a trip to the zoo!
I see the handwriting on the wall. Christmas and birthday presents will be gift certificates to her favorate spa.
