Fire & Ice

One of the nice things about living in a small town is their little small town activities. This past weekend, we attended a winter carnival - there was a great bon fire, hot cocoa (so we heard), a sledding hill, and a ice skating rink, which provided an opportunity for the kids to try ice skating for the first time.

Then we went back again the next day for more practice!

I just updated my blog as well! It may not be good sledding weather, but it sure is good ice skating weather!

I love seeing the kids like this with smiles on their faces and all bundled up to face the Maine elements. They will look back on these pictures and say, "remember when".

My Pappy used to take my cousins and I all the time when we were little! Just recently John and I (he has never been ice skating before) went to a local ice skating rink. I think he fell about 20 times! Good times.
PS, Nancy, there is a place right off of Easton Rd by Willow Grove Mall that has an outdoor skating rink - it is called Crestmont Park I believe.
