The Sincerest Form of Flattery

So I'm a total copy cat. I took one look at Kristy's beautiful kitchen and decided that her wall color needed to be on my walls. Here's the result:

The best is that I could only take pictures of very small portions of my kitchen (ie: the toaster) because the full panoramic view would reveal a sink full of dirty dishes, a huge pile of mail, lunch boxes lined up for filling, and a bread basket that is shamelessly overflowing.

Anyway, the color is probably a bit less orangey than Kristy's, it's almost like a butterscotch. Dirt described it best when he said, "if orange, mustard, and beige had a baby, it would be this color"

Thank you Kristy - we love the new color, it really warmed up the kitchen and gave it a whole new look. Maybe SOMEDAY, you'll actually see it in person!!!!! :-)

I think it looks GREAT!! It's funny though how hubbys' brain's work - they can't finish something in another room, but when asked they will take the time to re-do another room that had already been finished! I guess our motto as wives should be "beggers can't be choosers" and take what we can get! I have John scrambling to finish before Saturday because we are having a small get together with our extended family for our 1 yr anniversary - can you believe its already been a year?!?

i like it! it really does warm up the place. i think i'm going to have to whip out my paint brushes and rollers soon...after three years of being in our house things are starting to look kind of din-gee (i don't know how to spell that word!).

Erin -- That color has been on my kitchen for a couple of years now and I keep noticing it on more and more kitchens. My back room (old small kitchen, new dining area) is "goldfish" and the new kitchen is one tone lower. It is a beautiful warm color for the kitchen.

I like the color! It looks like the color you had in your living room in Glenside.

By the way--who was on at 4:36??

Crazy Jones was on at 4:36, she was sleepwalking and told me how she REALLY feels about me, then she woke up and had to delete it.

Jones: I may have to raise my prices if you want nails.

Wen: Jones is never coming up, she just likes to play with our emotions.

Nicky: When are YOU guys coming up!?!?!?!?!? Also, the color we had in Glenside is the exact color we have in our living room and dining room here (not very creative) ...it's called cookie crumb and is a little more beige. This color is called "Yucatan".

Nicky, after looking at the pictures, it dawned on me that you were probably speaking of the yellowish color we had in our living room for the 1st 6 years - which ironically, was taken from the living room in our previous dwelling place (I see a pattern here).

Yeah, it sort of looks like that in the picture, but I think in real life, it's less yellowy...

Can you believe all this talk about paint colors? No wonder no men have commented on this blog!
